Acupressure and Shiatsu

accupressureOriental form designed  to align the energy in the
pressure points and meridians.

Acupressure is based on acupuncture principles.  Instead of needles, finger pressure is used on the specific meridian points on the body which helps to access and release blocked energy flow in the body.  It is used to stimulate and activate a person’s energies to help restore balance to them.

Acupressure can be used to help with stress, tension, aches, pains, etc. as well as for general care.

Acupressure can help stimulate a person’s own recuperative powers.  This stimulation can remove energy blockages by diffusing any build up that has accumulated in their muscle tissue which can cause stiffness.  When there is muscle stiffness in a person’s body there is more pressure on their nerves, blood vessels and lymph system.

Shiatsu is very similar to acupressure as it works with the meridians also.  Finger, thumb and palm may be used in a continuous, specific rhythmic motion.
